I am, surprise surprise, exhausted right now. My mind is at boot camp seven days a week. I don’t have many worries right now, however. I actually have too much money these days because I’m not travelling. So I’m buying my socks, sometimes purchasing an article of clothing, and generally wondering what to spend my money on. It is such a novel experience that I began laughing to myself yesterday at how bourgeois I felt. I don’t spend money very quickly usually - except on travel – so as I was walking home with a take-out meal, new shoes and some sweaters, I was a bit self-conscious. What have I become? Haha, I’ll manage, don’t you worry.

I’m going to Hong Kong with the language school in January. We’re going to visit the new Disney World there, among other things. It’s a paid week-long trip, which is great. But it’s during Spring Festival, which might not be so great considering what I’ve heard about travelling during Spring Festival: 1.4 billion people on holiday.

Anyways, next month I’ll hopefully finish off the two sacred mountains I’ve yet to climb. This depends, of course, on whether I can successfully buy bus and or train tickets. With a little help from Mr. Guanxi (I.e. Mr. Wang’s connections), things should be just fine.

Okay, studying time.

Chris

P.S. Happy birthday Dad!
