Went to Zhengzhou's Aquatics Education Centre today with ZT and her cousin. Had a really nice time there; it was better than I'd anticipated -- and pricier. Whereas Zhengzhou's Zoo has a 10 Yuan entrance fee, today's trip cost 70 Yuan/head. It was worth it though; we saw lots of fish that I'd be hard pressed to find names for, in English or Chinese. A highlight of the time there was a performance of a mermaid story, done in the shark/fish tank with snorkellers.
This afternoon I studied, putting about 40 words to memory. If I'd had the whole day I could have done 70 or so, but 40's not too shabby. I find stuffing them in like that works best; I'll of course forget some of them, but when the same word comes up for a second time down the road sometime, it sticks instantly.

So it's 40+ degrees here today, but not officially of course (otherwise it'd be a mandatory day off work for everyone here by law). I'm sweating and my air conditioner is on. What's up with that?
Oh, did I tell you? I'm learning how to draw! My plan:

1. Learn how to draw
2. Learn to play the piano
3. Learn some math

I had a realization a few days ago: aside from the circus trick of speaking a little Chinese, I can't do many things . So I'm going to learn to do things. Only the ones I wish I could do though. I'm not going to study French. No.

Well I can help you with the last two things on your list...only thing is that there is ocean and land seperating me from teaching you! haha Piano isn't that hard to learn, just need the simple steps, and heck the rest is history. And, well, math is different, let's just say! Hope you're doing ok...sweltering out over there...don't worry you aren't along! It's SOO hot here...thank goodness for air conditioning. It could be much worse, I could be in Hamilton..lol..with the noxious gases and lack of fresh air! Hope things are going well! Thanks for the pictures and the updates

Cheers
