Went to Henan's Provincial Museum today with ZT, the last day of yet another vacation. I'm sure I'm going to think back wistfully to this peaceful, almost painfully carefree summer. School's quickly approaching....which means early mornings, rushed lunches, and weary English classes in the evenings.
Right now I'm getting ready to go for a late-night bike ride. Richard and I are heading north towards the Yellow River again, hopefully to find a statue out there I saw last time from the train.
That's about it....it's been a good week, despite the cancelled travel plans. Hell, it's been better than if I'd travelled: now I have tons of money on my hands!
Pictures: Zhang Tuan in war-torn 1930's China; obelisk in museum; me near the front entrance of the museum.
