Hi Chris,

I'm 25 years old, married. Having came to Canada over two years and found there are a lot of racist, more than i thought when i was in China. I view your blog everyday, it shows that you are very intelligent and wise. So far i haven't met someone so friendly and nice to China like you. I don't mean all Canadian people are bad, but so far my experience was like that. I knew you are very busy, so i'm wondering do you have any other friends who has similar recognizability and friendly like you i can email to for culture communication exchange? I want to learn Canadian culture and how to deal with racist, i'm interested about how racist raised up. Do you know anyone know Canada or people more than normal people ? Hopefully you can refer to me. Thank you very much for this.

I was thinking about starting a vlog, but i really can't tolerate racism and those debate on comments. It bothers me a lot.

Thanks,
XXXXXXX

Picture: From a walk tonight. I was amazed the guy could sleep in that position more than anything.

I'm born and raised in Canada and I've never had any racist feelings towards Chinese or any asian people. In fact when I think about it most of my friends are Chinese. I was always taught that you can't judge people based on the way they look or what country they are from. I suppose it'd be rather naive of me to assume that everyone else is taught that too. I am certainly aware of racist sentiments towards Chinese, some of it sparked by the recent flare up of conflict in Tibet and fears of China's increasing economic and political influence, and some of it just plain racism.

So though I'm not sure if there's much I'd be able to help her with, maybe I can at least show her that there not all Canadians are so racist to Chinese. My email is generaledwinamis@hotmail.com
